All merchants onboarded for 3DS

Rainforest will automatically onboard all your merchants to 3DS making it easier for you to integrate the 3DS flow into your Payment Component.

Onboarding your merchants to 3DS will have no impact to your merchants or their payments unless you choose to enable 3DS.

What's changing

Within the Merchant Details in the Rainforest Platform Portal, all merchants will display a 3DS Onboarding section. Here you can find details on the onboarding status of each card brand. For more information, see the 3DS merchant onboarding guide.

How to enable

Set the 3DS attempt fee

A 3DS attempt fee is applied when attempting to authenticate a payment with 3DS. This fee can be passed onto the merchant via the merchant billing profile.

Reach out to support to update the 3DS attempt fee on an existing billing profile that currently has the fee set to $0. Or head over to the Rainforest Platform Portal to create a new billing profile with a 3DS attempt fee.
