You can easily process Google Pay payments in the Rainforest's Payment Component. Google Pay is a convenient option and can help increase conversion rates.

Google Pay requirements

Rainforest supports Google Pay when processing a payment or storing a payment method in the Payment Component.

To process with Google Pay, a few requirements need to be met:

• Device support: the user needs to be viewing the page on a device that has a secure element, and on a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or Opera).
• Payment Component support: the Payment Component showing the Google Pay button needs to be on the top-level page (not an iframe).
• Acceptable Use Policy: Merchants must adhere to the Google Pay and Wallet API's Acceptable Use Policy.
• Terms of Service: Platforms must include links to Google Pay's Terms of Service language in the ToS their merchants accept.

Limitations

Storing a payment method

When only storing a payment method through Google Pay, the name of your platform will appear in the Google Wallet Transactions as a $0 payment.

This differs from processing a payment that will display the merchant's name on the payment and in the Google Wallet Transactions.
