Payout receiver integration options
Integration options to onboard payout receivers with Rainforest

Rainforest offers three options to onboard payout receivers. Choose the right integration based on how much of the payout receiver experience you want Rainforest to provide:

| Payout Receiver Management Component | Payout receiver management on its own, to add and manage their payout receivers. The component can also be embedded for a payout receiver to enter their own name and bank account. | Embed the component where merchants or payout receivers need it. |
| Rainforest API | Your platform's own payout receiver experience. | The full experience, with payout receivers created, bank accounts added, and payout receivers submitted for verification via API. Adding a third-party payout receiver's bank account via API requires a direct PCI integration approved by Rainforest. |
The options can be combined. For example:
- The merchant views their balance and payouts, and manages their payout receivers, in the Merchant Account Component. Your platform then shows the Payout Receiver Management Component directly to each payout receiver to enter their own details and bank account.
- Your platform creates the payout receiver via API, then embeds the Payout Receiver Management Component to collect their bank account.
These options are for integrating third-party payout receivers. Each merchant is automatically onboarded as their own payout receiver when payouts are enabled on the platform. For paying out to the merchant themselves, see On-demand merchant payouts.
